Presented by David Adkins
Hear the stirring sounds of a Native American flute as soloist David Adkins plays a selection of these historic songs. He'll share his perspective on the music of the Native Americans accompanied by these beautiful and haunting sounds.
11.00am-1.00pm: Lunch Break
Enjoy a break in the afternoon for lunch.
1.00pm-2.00pm: Mountain Music
Sit down for a musical start to the afternoon! Hear about local music favorites and there may even be a chance to sing along!
2.00pm-3.00pm: Predators Returning to the Smokies
Presented by Lane Batot
Lane Batot was a member of the Cast and Crew of the TV Series Christy and these days he can be found as a zookeeper at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC. For years he has studied the flora and fauna of the mountains and he will share his knowledge of the past and present creatures that inhabited this mountainous area.

9.00am-12.00pm: The History of the Story
Presented by Marilyn Mitchem and Barbara League
Join us for a morning of historical presentations focusing on Catherine Marshall's connections to Del Rio, TN, and the unforgettable part it played in the creation of Christy. Historian Marilyn Mitchem will take us through the early years in the development of the Christy story. From Barbara League (author of Letters to Lori) you'll also hear about Opal Myers, a beloved local figure who embodies the spirit of Del Rio and the spirit of Christy.
12.00pm-2.00pm Picnic and Tour of Del Rio
Location: Del Rio Preservation Society (181 Highway 107, Del Rio, TN 37727)
Enjoy a picnic in the heart of Del Rio and explore the Christy-related historic sites. The registration fee for Saturday covers your lunch as lunch is provided.
2.00pm-4.00pm Catherine's Story
Catherine Marshall's story, Christy has touched the hearts of millions - learn about her long journey to create her special novel and its connections to the area.
A Celebration of Life: Emma Wood Hoskins
At the close of the afternoon activities stay with us for a short, joyful celebration of the life of Emma Wood Hoskins. Miss Emma was Catherine Marshall's sister and she was much loved by the Christy community and we mourn her recent passing with her friends and family.

Morning: Ebenezer Baptist Church (off Old 15th)
Ebenezer will be open for Decoration Day. There is no service on this day but the church will be open and there will be hot dogs for sale. Come explore this historic building!
10:30 am: Christy Gathering at the Mission Property (on Chapel Road - follow the signs)
Every year Larry Myers, Mission Property caretaker, host this annual get together. Come explore the Mission grounds where the real-life counterparts to many of the characters in Christy once lived and worked. Please bring a covered dish or contribution towards the meal.
1:30 pm: Group Hike
Put on your hiking shoes and head into the hills! We will be leaving from the Mission property. Led by author and explorer Jay Hofer, we will roam about the local area with specific points of interest for the Christy fan. Note: The hike is on a moderate trail. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The estimated time of return is 4:00pm.

Adults [Age 18+]: No charge for Friday or Sunday. Saturday $15.00 per adult (includes lunch)
Youth [Age 11-17]: No charge for any day. Saturday Registration includes lunch.
Child [Age 10 and Under]: No charge for any day. Saturday Registration includes lunch.
